Had new Michelin tires installed today on my 98 RT10. I figured it was about time to replace the original tires. Bought
my tires at Belle Tire in Grand Rapids Michigan. I think Belle Tire is a Mid-West tire company although they will ship to
Anywhere in the country. I paid 1708.00 out the door, included installation, lifetime balance, and three year road hazard warranty.

You will be one happy camper. Those original tires were like driving on hockey pucks for sure. You will be simply amazed at how far tire technology has come. The car will be transformed. Don't get too cocky....Lol.

For the 1992 - 1998 17" wheels the Michelin PS2 is the only Michelin tire available. Super Sports don't kick in for Viper rear tire sizes until you get to the 2003 - 2010 19" wheels - ditto with Pilot Cups. That is a good price with mounting, balancing, etc. for your '98!

After 16 years you got new tires on a Viper?

You are either kidding :crazy2: or not driving your car.

Just bought my Viper 5 months ago from a police officer in Tallahassee Florida. I was looking for a Viper for a long time and found this particular car on the website "Vipers for sale" . The car was driven only on sunny days and very little at that. It has a little over 12K miles on her and it is a flawless car. I had it transported to Grand Rapids where I live and it was stored for the winter. Just this week I had new Michelins for it, new battery, had all the fluids changed, along with a complete engine diagnostic. Everything checked out perfect! I had my service done at K&M Dodge, they are SRT specialist. The only thing that had to be replaced was a passenger side window regulator, that set me back 540.00 dollars. I think I got an excellent buy on her, I paid 32K. Hope this explains your question.

I was just looking at a 13K mile 2002 GTS...with original tires. I think the owner (not a VCA member) thought I was nuts when I told him I had to factor in the cost of new tires if I bought the car. He looked at me like I was nuts as he explained to me how the current tires had plenty of tread life left. :doh2:

The original tires looked like new but the age of the tires was the main factor for replacing them. The date code on the original tires dated back to 1996 even though the model year of my Viper is 1998.
