Anyone have any pictures of a double 10 lb nitrous setup in the spare tire well of a GTS? What brackets are you using? :usa:

Ask Larry Macedo about he ones he did in Vern Hill's car.

Tried to get in touch with Larry a short time ago. Last I heard he had loaded up his wagon and mule team and was relocating to Utah. :D :usa:

I wish he would relocate to Pittsburgh! :D

I read somewhere he has no power right now.

Hey,
I took my two bottles and used the factory brackets that come with the nos kit and put them into a upside down "v" shape...both handles together towards the front. I took a piece of plywood and cut it to the same shape and size of the tub and covered it with black carpet. I sat it right on top of the spare tire assembly. I then mounted my bottle brackets, heater relays, and quick disconnects for everything electrical...that way I can remove the whole thing as one unit. It fits in perfect and is pretty easy to change the bottles. You could buy some of the quick release brackets from NOS or there are several places that sell nice billet brackets also. You can really get as crazy as your wallet will let you. Hope that helps.

PBJ,

I'm thinking about doing the same thing only with just one 10lb bottle. How did you attach the plywood assembly to the spare tire? I was thinking about drilling a hole through it and clamping it down with the spare tire bolt.

I removed the spare tire and put a carpeted piece of plywood in at an angle. The bottles look great! I could post a pic on the alley, but not over here.

GTsnake,
I didn't secure it at all, the fit is so tight that there is no movement at all. The weight of the assembly holds it in place. It has been there for over a year and I have never even heard a squeak from anything moving.

Double 15's fit well in the back of my GTS. They are on top of the spare. The spare is part of the crash structure of the car and it is not a good idea to remove it.

Joe, Thanks for the idea. I did something similar and it worked out great.
