OEM cats...Are they welded on?

Might look into removing and going with Hiflow or strait pipe (leaving resonator on). Have not taken sills off yet. If welded on, do I have to take everything out to remove cats?
How much more noisy will it be replacing with strait pipe?

just take stuff outta the sills.
It will be louder.

I don't know your emission laws, but if you want cats, go with Random Tech high-flows. Great sound and much cooler temps. in the cabin & side sill.
Call Jon B at partsrack.com, he even has the S.S. adapters to fir stock or aftermarket exhaust.
