Oil comming from A/C ... anyone know why????

I'm posting for a friend. He noticed an oil spot on his garage floor under his 2001 GTS. The car has 7k miles. After investigating we found it coming from a rubber tube exiting the firewall on the passenger side of the engine bay. From my understanding, this tube relieves water from the A/C system.

Anyone know why oil would be coming out of here?

If oil is coming out of the AC drain hose then there may be a refigerant leak in the evaporator coils under the dash. The oil is probably refigerant oil.

Is refrigerant oil yellow in color?

Yes most of it has a yellow tint to it.
