Oil pressure?

I had a quick question about my 09 viper. Got 560 miles on it now, and have noticed that the oil pressure never moves lower than 75 psi, usually more so in the 75-85 range once the car is warmed up. My 05 ran 50 psi all day. Did not know if this was normal for the 09’s or not…

Checked the oil level and it was fine. Not sure what it could be, or if it is just normal on the gen 4's. On a side note, just hit 560 miles today, filled the car up for the third time now, getting like 12 miles a gallon.

The Gen IV's all run real high, your pressures are normal. I took delivery of a 1200 mile car, drove home changed the oil then thought holy @#$% when I saw the pressure reading. When the car is warm you'll sometimes see it drop to 50-60 at idle.

My 2009 is just about the same. Did the first oil change at 450 miles and now I'm just at 1000 miles.

During "brisk" driving, I'm getting about 13.5 mpg.

I think it's impossible to get a "highway mpg" reading with this car...just too many acceleration "opportunities" with this beast:)

My 2008 stays at plus/minus 75 for a long time when cold.
Once it is warmed up it drops to 50 or so...seems to be normal!

Mine is actually around 95 psi for an oil reading when cold then drops to the 75-85 range...I figured I was getting the bad gas mileage just because I hardly ever see sixth gear. It just sounds awesome at 3000 rpms with the corsa pipes. What an animal this car is though, I absolutely love it.

I'm seeing 75 psi plus when cold, depending on rpm. It can go to 95 if you spin it up a bit (not a good idea when cold).

When hot, 50 plus at idle.

The 09 cars seem to have higher oil pressure than the Gen III cars though my 06 coupe runs pretty high when cold, 75 ish, then settles down to about 50 psi.
