On the frame rail (both sides) just below the motor mounts there is a piece of plastic covering two holes on all Vipers. Why/what for ?

I've been told it is to keep the frame from whistling at the points designed into it for collision collapse purposes...others may have a better answer.

I know under the car were frame rails run next to engine, there is plastic covering 2 or 4 holes. These are crush zones as well.

Speaking of odd things, when I pulled the sills off of my 2002, there was a green sticker on each side of the underbody in there that basically said, "Made in Mexico"

How about this - locating pin holes for the welding jig when the frame was fabricated. I took the plastic off, lots of laquer thinner.

One of the guys who used to post here (Madmaxx) found a set of CAAP tools when he took apart the fenders of his white 96. There's a post here somewhere about it.
