The latest edition of One Lap of America finished last Saturday. Here are some highlights:
The 06 Hennessey Viper Coupe came in second to a Porsche 996 TT, which has now won the event 4 years in a row.
The Viper was the dominate car in the event as it won 8 of the 16 stages. A broken clutch cost over 400 points as it was not able to compete for one day. Even with that mishap, the Viper easily finished in second place and was less than 300 points behind the winning Porsche.
There were 15 vettes in the event and not one of them won a single stage.
A SRT-4 finished 5th, ahead of all vettes, including zeeohsixes, and ahead of all Ford GeeTees.
The MOPAR SRT 8 Charger, piloted by some of our friends from Auburn Hills, finished 14th and WON its class.
Great show for SRT!
