Just got my Parts Rack (thanks Jon) super duper
metallic hi-flow cats on today. I can offer these
observations:

1) Contrary to popular belief, these are hard to
put on. Well, actually they are easy to put on,
the old ones are really hard to get off. We ended
up cutting the old cat's off when the brackets
broke with the first turn of the wrench.

2) I've noticed more exhaust pressure, usings Jon's
patented pants leg model.

3) The sills are remarkably cool, even after a 2
hour high-speed drive. You can actually touch
them and not burn your fingers.

4) It makes the car sound great. I just wish I
had done it earlier.

They tell me I'm getting about 528 CFM through
these new cats, compared with about 300 for the
factory ones.

THANKS for the testimonial, as well as a "PantsLeg Dyno" report.
You can even SEE thru these cats!

These cats are half the price that SuperTuners of Euro model exotics charge ....... and Hi-Flow indeed. Dan Cragin did our CA emissons test and passed there. Thanks Dan.

Now, try my patented "Wax Dyno" !!!

So what is the cost of these cats? I'm not sure if I want to go with the high flow cats or take them off completely and gain the extra 10HP. Can somebody convince me one way or the other?

Well I'm not a physicist, but here are the answers
I got.

Standard Cat - approx 300 CFM
Jon B's Hiflow Cats - approx 528 CFM
3" pipe (ie: no cats) - approx 600 CFM.

My car has to pass the emission laws here, so I couldn't
run without cats. Also, I've read alot here about people
that did it and couldn't live with the smell and noise.

I think the Cat's make the car sound alot deeper and
raspy, I liken it to Kathleen Turner....

I'm leaning toward no putting them in because hey, I'm in Alabama and they probably couldn't spell cats let alone find them. I heard about the smell and since I am switching back to a side exhaust, it will be more pronounced. I am trying to juice as much HP out of the car as possible. I figure I could always go back and insert one later if I don't like it.
