Thought I would post up some pics of our annual overnight fall cruise. Weather did not cooperate the first day, but Sunday was beautiful. Bad weather limited us to only five cars this year, two of which were officially baptised. (had never been in rain).

One of our members also had a movie made with his pictures. Here is the link:

Posers Beware...here is what the back of your car may look like after driving in the rain. Don't worry, everything cleaned up fine. Check out my custom liscense plate. :D

Some shots from the cockpit. Unfortunately I couldn't get any pics of the real sharp turns. Holding the map, cell phone and camera and going around sharp turns probably wouldn't work to well.

Great pics John. Is there another cruise here in the area coming up? Joe P (the third Viper in our triplet shoot) mentioned something about another one, but I didn't see anything in the events section.

It's listed as the Maryland Fall Cruise planned for 11/4 I'll bet the leaves will be closer to peak then, hopefully the weather will cooperate for that one.

We were about a week off from peak folliage season. To be honest, I preffered doing it this week, less leaves to remove from inside the front fascia. Also, the folliage ranged depending on what area we were driving in. We actually hit a few areas that were peak.

Last year we waited a little later in the month, but it had actually snowed the week before we got out there. There was also a fair amount of snow accumulation on the side of roads up in the mountains.

Wow, seeing those pictures really ran a stake through my heart. Fall is my favorite season to own and be driving a sports car. So many cool roads within reach for me to disappear on, and this is the first time in nine years that I haven't had at least one or two cars with an open top and a 6-speed to tool around in.

It's one of those near-spiritual things I have always enjoyed. Spend the day cruising and come home tired and a little punchy from all the oxygen (fumes?), but feeling totally relaxed.

This is the first time I am NOT a fan of being an entrepreneur. LOL

Good pics. Hope you scared a few Vettes while you were out and about. :nana:

Nice pics!

I was up at Seneca Rocks last weekend actually...sans viper though.

You missed out on a great ride. We are planning on taking the trail to the top next year. Did you go up? How was it if you did?
