Popping Hinge

My 2004 SRT10 has a popping hinge on the drivers side door. We have replaced the hinge and it was fine for two weeks however it is now makinf a terrible popping when opening. Any ideas????

Hey Joel,

I wonder if the hinge on the srt-10s are the same as the Gen 2. I have replaced my hindge 2 or 3 times. But mine goes bad do to use. I'm sure yours doenst have the usage mine does. If it is the same one, its just a crappy design. The best thing to do is put soe ANTI SEEZE on the knuckle and tab, that are used to keep the door open. That popping is them not gliding smoothly over each other (friction and then pop, it gets past the ****). Anti sieze will fix it.

That's not an option....it's standard even for 2006 cars

You really need a lot of lube on thie they break where bent in the factory.

If you have not used enough lub they make a horrible noise, so bad I thought the new hinge had bust!!!
