I gotta look into this. I was going to powder coat my 10 spokes to tide me over from spending 8k on wheels this year. But Plasti dip is probably cheaper, and it only needs to hold up for one summer. Did it take you a lot of time??

It's very tedious in the regard that you have to wait a minimum of 15-20 minutes between each coat, but other than that it isn't bad.

I basically sat on my couch on saturday and every 30 minutes walked out to the garage and sprayed another coat. There is definitely an art to spraying this stuff. The black comes out in globs but it does lay out pretty well. The biggest thing is just making sure you don't build it up really heavy in one coat or it will orange peel.

I have done my porsche rims with the plasti dip and its alright. It does peel after a while. To expediate the application process use a heat gun between coats. On my viper i have done the "shadows" chome paint process. Turns the chrome to black chrome. Uncertain if I like it. In the bright light it looks almost green?? Slightly cloudy or evening light and it looks gloss black. Powdercoating is the best option ImO.

Hello, I'm a recently new Viper owner and new to these forums. I bought my 06 SRT10 coupe back in November and haven't been able to drive it much since I live in the suburbs of chicago and its snowed quite a bit and there's still a lot of salt on the ground. I love doing HDR pictures and here's one of my faves.

Thats one of the less offensive HDR pictures that are are out there, nice shot. Join the VCA and then join us in Schaumberg for the IL VCA's first meeting on april 3rd - awesome group of people!

Thanks! I actually just joined VCA a couple days ago (not sure when my title changes from Enthusiast to VCA member on these forums) But I plan on being at that meet and many more after! I actually live right down the street from that Fudruckers and have been to a meet a couple times in the past couple years... just not as a member/owner.
