Final message:

Couldn't get the dealer off their butt. Took the car to West Coast Viper. They pulled the trans the same day I took it in (I begged alot) and found that the pressure plate bolts had backed out. It had been only 1700 miles since the dealer put a new one in. Guess they didn't torque them or lock-tite them.

$700.00 later I'm up and running again that night. Yes, that night! Nice to be "back in the saddle". I've owned a bunch of cars in the last 36 years. Never had this much difficulty getting parts or service.

Thank GOD for the independents. We are very fortunate to have two very good ones here in the LA / Orange County Metro area, West Coast Viper and DC Performance.
