The system base output will be 1130hp. For anyone crazy enough the system will support twin PTE-76GTS's for 2300hp :thumb:

Jose,

Can you explain why the Viper Kit is so much more than the C5 kit, which is quite a bit more expensive than kits for the other cars.? I have followed the development of the C5 kit and PTK has commented that the C5 kit was the most complex kit that they have ever done and that included the Viper Kit. The C5 kit is priced under $10K. I am currently looking for a Black 99 GTS or RT10. I originally intended to go the turbo route, as I love my single turbo Z06, but the pricing is way out there. So I will probably go with either a Heffner or Underground Racing S/C package. I love my stock cubed turbo Z06. A turbocharged Viper would be insane!

Btw, Jose I know you are a standup guy. You helped me test the fitment for a T88 on my single turbo Z06 awhile back and didn't charge me a dime for the help. Btw, I ended up keeping the T76 gts and tuning the car to over 750rwhp (on pump gas)...soon to be over 800+rwhp. I would love to repay your kindness by purchasing a Viper Kit from you when the time comes. But at a price of $15K that may not happen. My question is no way meant to cause any trouble. It is an honest question.

Jose

Will be....or "is" the output ??? RWHP ? Also it would be nice to clarify what mods = the base output. thx

Here is what i got from their site:

"Viper Generation II Turbo Kit

Viper Generation II Turbo Kit - This is a Complete TUNER Twin Turbo system. All fuel system components and tuning computer are not included. Pro Turbo Systems is currently working on a database of shops and turners around the world to offer support.

Our Price: $14,999.99"

Fuel system and Vec 2 you can add in quite a bit more along with installation and tuning on top of which you will have to source elsewhere

Those turbos are directly under the intake piping of which will put off CRAZY heat of which is just what your Viper needs :2tu:

Ok, I'll see if I can answer all of the questions....

Tony, the system can make up to 1130hp crank. That is the rating of the TE44's. As for mods I guess your talking about what the kit comes with.

--------------------------------------
2 Garrett TE-44 Turbos( Rated to 565 hp each )
2 each Tial 38mm Billet Wastegates

24"x10"x3" 3 Core Bar & Plate Sheet Metal Intercooler

Twin TiAL 50mm Blow Off Valves

Polished Silver or Satin Black 2000 Degree Ceramic Coating ( Your Choice )

1 5/8” Mandrel Bent Tubular Drivers & Passenger Side Headers using 2 ½” Stainless Steel V-Band Connections

2 3/4” Twin Down Pipes, 5 ply High Grade Silicone Hose

Stainless Steel Aircraft Grade T-bolt Clamps

Turbo Inlet and Wastegate Flanges are ALL ½” thick

Radiant Restricting Thermal Turbo Blankets and all required hardware & Installation Instructions!

All welds are TIG welded, All Inlet tubes are bead Rolled, and All Exhaust Connections are V-Band Connections.
----------------------------------------------------

Earl, thanks for the props, and I see the 76GTS turned out to be a great unit for you. As for the pricing, I will be straight with you. The pricing is not handled by me. I know quite a bit more materials though were used in this kit over the C5. As for the rest of the cost factor, I don't really know.

1MEANSNAKE , we will have some package deals which will include the Vec2 or the AEM. Also we will provide you with your fueling needs as well. As for the turbo heat. The turbines are fully covered with a thermal blanket. Same as the ones used on the C5 kit. You can virtually lay your hand on the turbine side when the blanket is on. A picture of the turbo blanket used on the system is below....

Actually, I was wondering what engine combo was needed to get the 1130. Might as well ask what fuel would be needed too. Most will be interested in output with a stock engine and stock with ported heads.

the kit looks nice. Wondering if you cover the turbos with a blanket where does the heat go? the exhaust looks odd but good. looks as if the exhaust travels one way but comes out the other. How does that work?
very cool

Are you simply quoting the theoretical max output of the turbos included in the system????

If that's the case then this system will take my John Deere to 1130hp!

It looks cool, but can you clarify the "output" thing a little more?

Tony with a stock motor (pre-01) and around 14-15psi on race fuel 900-950rwhp should be attainable with the stock motor and good tuning.

Maxed, the heat blankets will simply contain the heat in the turbine housing and be dissipated through the exhaust.

Carguy, that is a max of what the TE44's could support.

Jose,

you mean pre 2000, as 2000 vipers have the same crappy pistons as the 01 and 02.

99 and older are the forged piston cars.

Is 14-15psi safe for daily driving on a stock motor?

Sorry it is pre-00. As for daily use, well I would not run the motor that high unless you run a steady diet of race fuel on a daily basis or you are using a ****. injection kit. On pump gas you would have to run less.
