Good to hear things are working out and you got a replacement so soon. Your experience was much better than I had when my new 2000 Saleen caught fire in my garage(wire bundle freyed and slowly burned through the insulation where the wheel well caught fire and finally burned through to low pressure fuel line.)

230 AM my house smoke alarm goes off and I open the door to the garage to find the Saleen engulfed in flames. We all got out of the house and no one was hurt.

Saleen basically said I was on my own and to file a claim with my insurance company. No offer to replace the car, no customer service, no nothing from Saleen. My insurance company USAA paid me full value for the car plus upgrades.. Thanks to them this sad issue went pretty well..

That is why I am now driving a Viper!

I would expect nothing less from a company dependant on rustangs.

Vetteto - I'm glad your back in the drivers seat so soon. Better luck this time.

Sounds like Dodge has done an outstanding and quick job for you. I know you will enjoy the car and the Viper Nation.

What was the cause of fire?

Marc,

Glad to hear you are enjoying the new (new) ride! Can't wait to see you at the meetings. I'm with you...the extra attention the car brings from all ages is easy to get used to!

Congrats!

Mike
