I'm putting on some aftermarket coil overs and am having trouble separating the OE Koni (blue) shocks form the lower fork mount. Does anyone have experience separating these or know of a shop in the Northern VA area who could do this?

I've already pulled the spring off, but the shock is screwed into the bottom (fork) mount and won't budge.

First soak the threaded area around the fork, WD-40 ETC for a hour:eater: Then with a really big pipe wrench:D wrap your shock to prevent anything major, install the fork end in a big vise, then with a 2-4' pipe slid over the really big pipe wrench, put the pipe wrench on the lower part of the shock right at the fork, Just bump the end of the breaker bar. Don't Pull, Just Bump until it breaks free:omg: Works for me:drive:
