Push Button Start with Passive Device Key wanted

I want to install a Push Button Starter and ignition that would have a passive device that the car detects.

Starting procedure would be: insert the card type key into ignition (no turning of ignition required). Car would detect that key has been inserted. Next step: push start button.

Anyone know of an aftermarket setup like this that I could install into my Gen. II GTS?

I don't know if Mercedes has something like that in one of their cars, but if they do.. yank one out of a wrecker, get wiring diagrams, start the conversion!

Most of the OE systems would tie into the body controller and integrated into the vehicle security system. It would be very difficult to just "rip it out" and reinstall it into your vehicle.

I haven't seen any aftermarket systems out yet. Even if there were such a system it would be very difficult to install.

Would be an overly cool challenge though if you could find a way to master it A guy in my club has integrated a touchscreen from a heavy production machine into his dashboard that enables him to start the car and do all sorts of other stuff.

Sounds like I need to find myself a master electrical automotive guru...and that ain't me. However, I do work with a very smart electrical fella. Maybe I'll ask him. But it sounds like there isn't anything easy out there (aftermarket kit).
