Re: Question About Autovation Pedals NEED HELP PLEASE!
I think the tread area is too big, and it seems harder to put my big feet on the pedal without clipping the adjacent pedal with the edge of my shoe. Kind of clutters up the foot area, in my opinion. Its not an insurmountable obstacle, its just a little tight.
Signed, Big Foot
ps. The mounting holes are too close together, causing conflict with the pedal arm weld radius, (or at least it was on my car, others may be different) and this required some mechanical gymnastics to get the nuts on the bolts.
I ended up tapping some of the holes, because the bolts ended up coming through the arm in the area of the weld radius, on either side of the pedal arm. It was impossible to get the nuts on. Poor design.
If the mounting holes were cast farther apart left to right, so that the bolts could just go straight through the pedal and out the backside, without coming near the pedal/arm welds, the job would have been a slam dunk. Must have looked good on paper!
