Question about intake part number

I posted this in the performance section but no response.I have a 99 RT/10.K&N has no part number for a FIPK for this year,just filters.Is there a reason for this and why wont a 98 FIPK,for instance, work on this car?

There is no performance gain over the stock airbox.
