Ok guys, I was looking at getting the Hurst shifter, but I guess I can only use the shift knob avaiable with it. Now, someone mentioned the MGW shift knob. On their website it described it as a short throw knob. Does it actually sit lower on the stock shifter?

Yeah! It will make a huge diff in the fell and look. I thought about getting a true short shifter then got one of the MGW short shift knobs and was just as happy if not more. Give it a try, MGW is awesome and I am sure that if you don’t like it MGW will make it right by you.

I went with a diff style knob but here is a pic that might help you out.

Just a note...I just got their First Strike knob and it is awesome! It looks great, lowers the shifter height by about 1.5 inches, and it feels very natural in the hand.

I have a short throw and a MGW. That sucker sits way down in the shift hole. Much lower than any of these pics I saw above. I'll try to take a pic tonight or something. It's perfect for banging through gears sitting so low. At first, I was a little weary about my hand slipping off the MGW for the strip, but wearing a glove, kept my hand from slipping off the ball while racing, so now I LOVE it!

Not positive, but that looks like a First Strike shifter (MGW product too), not a stocker ;)
