Racing Stripes

Can anyone confirm if models that have the racing stripes are painted on or is it just a sticker that can be peeled off??

I'm in the market for a Viper, and if I found the one that I wanted and it had the stripes, what would it take to remove them.

All factory stripes are painted on. If you wanted to remove them you would have to paint.

First time Ive heard of someone wanting to remove stripes. As Austin said they are all painted from the factory. Only a few people have added stripes later and used Vinyl. Most paint on if adding, but again, factory stripes are 100% painted. It would cost more to remove them then it cost to paint them on. You would need to sand and repaint and clear the bumpers, hood, roof and trunk.

Cars with stripes are faster, are challenged more, and have better looking passengers. Like he said, why would you want to remove them?

Why not just look for one without? Simple. Way to much trouble to try to remove stripes - even vinyl. You would need to deal with removal and then the difference is color.

vipers with out stripes are usually cheaper. You could probly save money if you look for another viper without stripes.

If I was Bill Gates I would start buying up all the cars with stripes and start removing them. Then I'd keep a few my favorites with the stripes and ANYONE WHO WANTED A CAR WITH STRIPES would have to come to me, and i'd charge them ONE BILLION DOLLARS - MUHAHAHAHA!

Thanks for the responses. It's just a preference for me, I like clean looking cars, racing stripes have been done and done on enough cars.

There is allot i've seen without the stripes but in the event I came accross one that was priced right with the stripes, I wouldn't pass it up, but would like to know if I could take them off. Guess not.
