I picked up some Rainex the other day. I haven't used it before, but it's
supposed to work wonders. Upon reading the instructions, it says that Rainex
should not be used on plastic. I remember a post not long ago that said our
Viper windshields are made of lexan, not glass.
Has anyone had any experience with Rainex on their Viper windshield ?
Thanks

Viper windshields are definitely made of glass. Rain-X away!

Its a pain to get off after it hazes, but it really works. I was driving around in NY one fall and hit a hard rain. The wipers on my car stopped working, but becasue I had Rain-X on there - it was easy to see and I made it home no problem!

Use it. It's great. Only race cars use lexan, It is not legal on road cars.

I thought the Mosler that MT compared the SRT against in the high speed challenge had a Lexan windshield. Course that was anything but a street car.

Plain and simple no factory car I think comes with lexan. I think customizers might use Smart-Glass which is a sort of Lexan, but by law as stated above, Vipers as well as others use glass.
