RPM change going to 3.73 gears?

I am pondering going to 3.73's in my '06. How much rpm change will there be in 6th gear?

Nice calculator here. Just plug in your tire OD, speed and final drive numbers and calculate to compare.

On a flat out percent basis, about 22% will be your change. 22% higher rpms.

I have been running 3.73 gears for a long time. I ran the calculator its close to the real deal but, after drag racing with that gear I am going to change to a 3.55 and see what the difference is. I think the 3.73 may be holding me back at the end as my tach is about 6k in the top of 4th. Open for any input here.

I went 12.0 @117 mph Not bad for my 4th run still learning. Jon recommended to go to a higher gear like 3.55's . Even with my drag radials I spun the wheels in first had a 1.8 60' so I think there is room there to improve. I didn't power shift gears either.

Thanks for the calculator . 3.73 is almost 1800 @ 80 mph,an increase of about 300 rpm.

I have 3.73's and wish i went with 3.55's.
