Just wondering what the function of the scoop underneath the middle of the car is for.....aerodynamics or cooling.

That thing scrapes over larger speed bumps and other things....

I'm going to lower the car and I know the scrapes will get worse, so I'll have to do something with it.

What are most people doing with it after lowering?

it's a tunnel more than a scoop, so how does a tunnel scrape and how does removing it help?

There is a tunnel in the undertray towards the rear of the car that is for cooling the differential.

If it looks like a "scoop" and extends down instead of up, then it is installed upside down.

Also if it (the tunnel cover) is on upside down the "scoop" (nacaduct) would only work if you were going backwards ;)

Thank the great engineers at SRT for that scoop, as the prototypes were flat, and this little add-on gave us a in-expensive diff cooler. Amazing what happens when you put in 16 hour days, and think like a certified gearhead. Same thing occurred with with the little wings underneath near said rear scoop - better air flow and directing some towards the brakes.

I really think we are going to talk about what has been done the last few years in the same vein as us old geezers did about the 60s. Great time to be a car-nut.
