Second gear

I have a 2006 SRT10 Coupe with no mods. Shifting to second feels notchy. I also have noticed when I shift from first to second under acceleration, that it pops out of second to neutral. Any ideas what might be wrong before I take it to my viper tech? Thanks

I had that problem with a 1997 GTS and it was under warranty. I took it to the dealer and they said that was not normal and replaced the trans with a brand new one.I think the syncro went out. They told me they don't rebuild the trans, they replace it.I was very happy about that. That was in 1998. Don't know what they will do in todays world. Things change, policys change. As far as OBAMA's CHANGE.....I don't know about that either,ha....

Like Roy said, if its popping out of gear, you're prob looking at either a new transmission or a rebuild

My Viper tech indicated that the second gear sync needs to be replaced. Part is in order and he will let me know if additional damage to transmission once he opens it up.
