Side Exhaust Cover Replacements

I am looking for some feedback on replacement side exhaust covers (I have a Gen I but I think this is a question regardless of Gen version). I have found some sites that offer/sell after market fiberglass covers. Is there any opinion on purchasing a regular replacement or using the fiberglass covers? Any recommended suppliers?

We have seen some of them scorch.
We have seen some of them smoulder.
We have seen 2 of them self-immolate.

AutoForm makes some from Hi-Temp resin that when insulated look good, dont ignite, and [when ordered thru that rudedude at PartsRack ] are an inexpensive alternative. MUST INSULATE! They do chip easier than OE.

MRB took care of me on a set of these. I took the risk and got them painted - absolutely beautiful and fit better than the original. I love the looks of them on the gen 1.
