I'm thinking about buying those side gill type things to fill the gap between the door and the hood, except I'm thinking about having them in another color than my car.

What would you think about blue ones or black ones on my straight silver car?

I though Scott stopped selling because of some sort of issues with that part(?)

I ran into a problem with them on my '01. The fit is different than on the earlier years which I think work OK. Give Scott a call, he'll give you the straight scoop.

We still stock them as a matter of fact we have plenty in stock. We do however recommend that they be installed professionally as we have found that there is many variances from car to car. Some will fit perfect and some will require minor modification to fit, indicative of no specific year.we now sell them AS IS in primer for 425.00.These cars are hand assembled and what we have found on some that require mod.are that the sheet metal holes may be off slightly creating the need for modification on some. The original rumor was that they would not fit 01 and up.The only diffence in the 01 and up is that they used on extra assembly screw for the panel.but the panels are identical from 92 all the way up.

I know when I pulled my stock piece off on one side there must have been at least 15 metal shims that were used to align this piece properly.

I am sorry, but does any think this makes the car look better?

To me at least it covers up one of the best looking parts on the viper.

Well, here we go again, varied opinions!!!!! Best part of this web-site, everybodies thoughts and opinions. I think it fits well with the sculpted lines of the viper, helps hide the unfinished look of the computer. You can still see in there and it's still open. Gives it the Ferrari looking vents, (more value? :D  ), I'd like to see it with the fins themselves "blacked out". Gives more character to the side of the car! IMHO

Russ, I agree with you - but to each their own I guess. There are also people who put foot high wings, splitters and scoops and crap on their car. To me, I like it from the factory, and almost anything else looks "tacked on" (the only exception I can think of is the guy with the SRT with the black fade-in panels on the doors - that actually looks good).
