I was wondering what are the best smooth tubes to buy? Or does the brand even matter?
Thanks again

Comments on the tubes PR has.Jonb at partsrack.com has chrome tubes... worked out great for me.

I had to shave my gen I housing to fit the K&Ns, but I've had no similar issue on my gen II - no clips lost, etc. For that matter, I had lost clips on my gen I *before* I put the K&N's on. Just another data point....Roe! Order the tubes and the S&B air filter package. Best buy and S&B's are best fitting/flowing filters bar none.
Sorry guys, I've been the K&N route and my buddy is using K&N's and replacing clips on a regular bases like I use to.
Thanks for the info 95 Viper. If I go with the smooth tubes what type improvements would I see? More HP, engine runs cooler, etc.?
K&N's fit on my '00 RT/10 without any problems or modifications. Perhaps they have listened, as I do recall having problems getting them in my '95.Why can't K&N just make filters that fit? I've tried talking to those a-holes with no satisfaction.
BTW my buddy's car is a GENII.
Actually, 11 hp10hp min! That's the only diff in an ACR(460hp) and a GTS/RT(450hp).
