Here is probably the first ACR to hit SoCal, my buddy Rocman picked it up from Herr Pemberton at Woodhouse and drove it home, after a detour to Texas. So the car has 2,400 miles in less then a week but it's broken in. I have already driven a sorted out '08 coupe that was track prepped so this isn't my first Gen 4.
This car is not sorted, no alignment, corner weighting and the shocks were on the softest setting for the ride home. I have been coaching Rocman at Willow Spring to get ready for the ACR and Viperdays in September. The seats are well bolstered, the 1" seat lowering was nice. The shifter must be replaced with and MGW short shifter.
Even not sorted the car was amazing, it's easy to hit the rev limiter it pulls so strong at high rpms. Steering is tight and precise and the car very predictable, it was fast in the corners, fast out the corners and very difficult to over drive with all the down force. This car is absolutely killa, and even a seasoned road racer like myself will take time to find the limits, it's that fast.
Erik Messeley at EMI will set up the suspension, the man who did PMUM's car at Laguna Seca. Once that's done and the safety equipment added hang on. We will go to Willow Springs for some test and tuning and some fast laps for sure. I am guessing in 1:28s fairly soon and :27s even :26s to follow at Viperdays in a stock factory car
