I just got the stoptech rotors with the vanes and slots. On the front rotors the vanes are directional and the slots go the same direction. On the rear the vanes are non directional, but the slots go opposite directions on left and right side. Is this right?

In other words I have the 2 front and 1 right rear rotor with the slots all going the same way, but the left rear the vanes go the opposite direction as the other 3. The vendor told me that this was normal and correct, but it seems wrong to me.

Here is your answer. I had the same issue.

The F rotors are directional due to the vanes which are slanted. The rotor in F goes on so the vane is leaning back when at the top which means the slots lean forward to the front of car. ok, that follows the directions you received. Now, the rears are not directional (vanes not slanted) and can be put on either side. I reversed the sides as labeled to match the fronts. All was conformed by JonB and StopTerch via conference call.

hope that helps. worked good at VIR!

If I reverse the sides, the rotors are identical so the slots will still be going opposite directions, So either way I will have 3 rotors with the slots on the rotor face going one way and one oddball going opposite of the rest. Looks kind of stupid.

Ok, if looking at all the rotors on the car and at 12:00 o'clock, the slots all lean from the center of the hub to the front of the car!
