Thread count on shifter shaft

Does anyone know the thread count on the shifter shaft of a stock 01, want to have a custom knob made and need the count.

Looks like it is 1/2", 20 threads per inch (fine thread). 1 3/8" long.

I took this off my 96'.

The Hurst aftermarket shifter for our car is 1/2" 20UNF, but all other Hursts (as an example) are 7/16"-20UNF, 3/8-16, or 3/8-24. So be sure. I'd measure with an actual nut of the anticipated size. Post your result if you don't mind. I was thinking about a "non-Viper" shift handle on my car as well.
