I watched the UK Top Gear hatchet job that they did on the Shelby GT500 last night. Viper was also referenced as being as poorly built like the Mustang. Of course they didn't do any meaningful performance testing or competition with similarly priced euro rides against either. These guys are starting to make themselves look like they're in denial over the ass whoopings and beat downs lately by american cars on their beloved european marques...:lmao: Shameful:rolleyes: What Crap ! People are laughing at them and not so much with them at this point:dunno::usa:

They make fun of everyone, don't take it so personally. Watch next week's show and you will see.

I normally enjoy Top Gear, yes they do some stupid things. But this latest series, I have to say I am not enjoying one bit. I also do not like the camera work, they seem to be playing with light filters on the Top Gear track, making everything look a sort of Yellow / tan brown colour. Stop it BBC England is dull wet and Green, stop making it look like the Arizona desert.
And stop Knocking American cars, some of us actually like them! If you De-badged many of the Euro boxes they call cars, I bet many people could not identify which car belonged to which manufacture!

Yeah, I saw it. I have also seen every episode of Top Gear and know what to expect and that they have their turn bashing everyone, including themselves. They didn't give a great review of a car you most likely have never driven but really want to like. Oh no!

Sorry the truth hurts. Yes a gen V is better than previous generations but not up to par VS Aston,Porsche,Ferrari and even corvette. The unsophisticated v car is a ball to drive as well as a cobra replica or a morgan 3 wheeler. Most people need a little more than that now. GTS Bruce

    Bruce,
What is it about the Viper that keeps you coming back to the Viper Club to bash the Viper? Are you trying to validate how much better off you are with an 11 year old, slow overweight, bland car that can drive itself with no drama a smooth ride and "my wife approves" Car? Admit it everytime you go to the garage and drive it you KNOW something is missing....Oh yeah it is the following:
"5 yrs down the line, EVERY TIME I pick up my Viper keys and walk down to the Garage my hand is beginning to shake, the hairs on the back of my neck are tingling, and when I turn the Key, OH BOY its Armageddon! God I love the Viper, Thank you AMERICA :usa:"
    "Sorry the truth hurts"

SLViper, bulls eye! I think you nailed Bruce right between the eyes. I thought it was strange that he decided to drop a little poop on a bunch of threads yesterday. I thought to myself, boy what a mistake, I'm glad I'm not in his shoes. The guy hasn't even driven the car, he's completely condemned it based on a few mag rags, and alienated himself from the Viper community that he may want to re-join later when he sees the light. He bought an 11 year old F car, I'm sorry it won't have the refinement, interior, or performance of the Gen V, LOL. Get real. He is trying to validate his mistake. He's probably not feeling so hot about his decision.

GTS Bruce, have you driven the Gen V yet? What makes it 'not up to par' with those other brands you mentioned?

I bet they're going to ask you a TON of questions on it when you get it, because they're halfway thinking of doing the same thing if it turns out to meet their threshold of what 'good enough' is, and it'll be a (relative) bargain to boot.

Because people that buy brand new Lamborghini's and Ferrari's don't cross shop. They buy what they want.
