Hi,

I just finished rebuilding my suspension. While I was in there ...the brakes are shot (stock I think) I'm trying to get signed up for Road Atlanta on May 20. I need to know, and I'm sure this has been covered, what brake pads to get. I don't have enough time to upgrade the calipers. I'm gonna need something street smart for a couple weeks, then racing pads.

I'm not sure what are the best for this as I was going to get a set of EBC greens and Reds and change them out before track day. This is the first time I've tracked this car so I'm tracking in the 3rd class (touring...follow the leader) Should I get the Reds at these low braking speeds...or just wait and use the greens for track day, then upgrade the system?

Any advise welcome,
Todd

If you have an opportunity to "drive" add Porsche Air Deflectors and Motul 600 brake fluid. Follow the leader not likely to challenge the stock brake set-up. EBC for the track?? Brake pads work best at a specific temperature range, street pads work well at lower temperatures and work poorly at high temperatures and wear quickly at high temperatures. Racing pads work ok at low temperatures but work very well at high temperatures.

Make sure your power steering cap is tight, better to be vented to a spill bottle.

Check your tire pressures ~ 36-38 psi hot is a typical range depending on surface conditions. Check lug nut torque 95 ft lbs.
