I swear our community is infamous for poor driving. It seems like every Viper accident on the web shows a Viper somewhere a Viper shouldn't be parked. Here in IL there is no way I'd be putting my foot down when the asphalt temp is below 40 degrees.

That is SNOW on the ground, right? Why the hell would you even want to take the viper out in those conditions? Just amazing!......Sorry but really stupid.

Just spoke with Cash, wasn't him. What are the odds that there's two bumble bee gen 3s within two hours of each other?

I know that there was a brand new 06 Bumblebee for sale about an hour from there in Platteville that has been on the floor of the dealership for almost 5 years. I assume the reason for this is when the dealership prepped the car they drilled holes in the front facia for the plate! They would have to be high to do that one would think! Who knows if this is the car.

The guy may be from Madison. I have seen the car several times this winter when the roads are dry. The owner doesn't appear to have any smarts.

Hope that it was stolen because if it wasn't as Dave P said the dissappearence of brain cells would be the only cause for this stupidity.

Two sides to every story guys, wait until we find out exactly what happened, if at all. Sure, I would never drive a Viper in the middle of winter but maybe, just maybe, he was driving along doing the speed limit and a deer ran in front of him. Maybe, somebody ran a red light and hit him. We don't know, so while we all want to blame the driver for being an idiot and driving in the winter, don't be so fast to judge until the details of the accident come out.
And no, this isn't the Viper owner from Verona. He has 3 and this isn't one of them. I just hung up the phone with him and he doesn't know who it was either.

Call me a fool! I just had my ACR out burning off the three month old gas on Sunday, in the high country of Colorado, and yes, plenty of snow on the ground and some on the road. Somehow, I kept it on the asphalt. I have been doing this since my first sports car 30 years ago.. I don't believe in using winterizing gas additives...in a $15k motor. I have also raced in sub 40 deg weather in May and snow flakes flying..setting my fastest to date lap in the GTS at Putnam Park ;) I think a little seat time in the winter, when you can get it, is a good thing. Just learn how to drive your cars ...cold asphalt is like wet asphalt, learn how to adjust your driving style to suit the conditions. The car won't go off the road by itself.

PS-The SRT boys drove a Viper with snow tires down from Michigan to Ohio in January (I think it was) for a meeting.

I am sure he was just TRYING to prove to the Chevette next to him that Yellow really is faster.

Something in the mid teens. I'm looking for winter projects...LOL...so maybe I will research it. I just remember being amazed that I beat my best summer time. I later beat that time, but I pretty much always set a new fast time ever time I go to a track, unless conditions are wet. ;)
