How do you hardwire a camcorder? any help would be appreciated.

I would say if you can get a cigarette lighter plug adapter for your camcorder, then that is the best way to go since it will take 12V in and output whatever your camcorder needs.
If they do not make one, you need a power converter to go from your car's 12V to whatever your camera requires. Do you know what voltage and current the camera takes (probably printed on the side, maybe on the sticker or under where the battery goes). If you can get that info, I can find a converter that would work for you since I do a lot of electronics work. Then you would just need to mount it to your satisfaction.
I had Dean Word's camera mount - the best I've seen. I dunno if he still makes them but it was very very good and stable.
