Races on Sunday too. I just chose to go today. Will post pics if they came out alright.
Today was some great racing. No less than 50 cars in the VRL races or whatever they are calling it nowadays. Vipers were the premier car of course and made up probably 20 or so of the 50. The remaining cars were some terrific Porsches, two Ferraris, SRT Neons, BMW, some cool spec racer chassis I was not familiar with, Mazdas and a few odds and ends. Great to watch. Most of the action was in turn three - a hard braking 180 with little run off but wide enough to lure some into passing. Saw several lose it there in both races.
First race Keating blew away the competition.
Second race Jim Stout took first from Keating. I think Keating must've spun somewhere, he dropped back several spots and had to come from quite a ways back. Keating steadily moved back towards the front and was within striking distance of grabbing the lead from Stout but ran out of time and settled for second.
This was a great event and as always, run terrific. Skip Thomas says they will be back next year so I'm saving up now. I wonder if they will let me do a monthly installment, sort of like those Christmas savings clubs the banks used to have for us when we were kids.
