Water Dripping from Tail Pipes

I noticed when I start my car sometimes small drops of water drip from the tail pipes. It burns away after a couple of minutes. This only seems to happen when the car sits for several hours. Is this caused by the exhaust cooling off and causing condensation to form (I hope)?

It's a 99 GTS with 900 miles on it.

The products of combustion of a hydrocarbon fuel are CO, C and H2O. The water changes into a vapor after the pipes get hot enough, but during warm up you will see it as water running out of the tailpipe.

my 1996 GTS was doing this.... after a cold start... it would blast black water out the back and leave spots on the driveway... it was also consuming 1 quart of oil per tank of gas...

The dealer did some testing and ended up pulling the motor and sending it out for a rebuild...

my new motor, that now has 2500 miles on it, hasn't spit one drop of water out on cold starts... and hasn't consumed any oil...
