These are not slicks. They are classified as DOT tires.

I have run the MT ET Drag Radials all summer. They are about as good as it gets for a street slick. The problem is you will need a set of 16" rims. If the track is not prepped you will be dissapointed in the Kumho's, on the other hand they are an improvement over pilots. Nitto makes a street slick that you can put on a set of front wheels.

Kumhos Ecsta V700s are what you want.

On Michelin Pilots my Viper ran [email protected] with a 1.89 60' on a 2000rpm launch. I could not even go WOT on the 1-2 shift without going sideways.

Put on Kumhos.
Launched at 3500rpm once with no wheelspin and ran [email protected]">[email protected] with a 1.89 60' on a 2000rpm launch. I could not even go WOT on the 1-2 shift without going sideways.

Put on Kumhos.
Launched at 3500rpm once with no wheelspin and ran <a href="mailto:[email protected] with a 1.68 60'.

% other runs were all launched at 2000roms, all 1.8 60's, and all runs were 11.8 (3 times) and 11.9 (twice) on Kumhos - all at 120+.

Take my advice, for $241 each at Tire Rack they are a steal.

If you want maximum traction, the BFG drag radials are the best. I have heard of them being used on the street, but I wouldn't do it due to the sofe sidewalls on the tire. I use my BFG's on an extra set of rims, but if you don't want the hassle, go with V700 Kumhos.

This is a easy question. If you are going to use the tires for street and track, go with the Kumho V700. They stick like glue and have good sidewalls for cornering as well. They grip like hell and I have a SC car. If you are going to use for track ONLY, the BFG are a little stickier but sidewalls ****. Not good for street at all! Best bang for the buck is definitely the Kumho V700 IMO!

I had a set of those BFGs. Pretty radical looking. I sure would have liked to have dragged them, but I would have fried them up and then I wouldn't have been able to sell them, not to mention I probably would have busted a halfshaft or worse.
