I am looking into a few injection systems to raise octane, but not quite sure which is better. I'm thinking propane is going to be the best bet because it's non liquid and already in a gas form. But the only thing that makes me nervous is having a tank in the rear of the car that could explode.

Are my worries too much?

But anyways...which would be a cheaper route and better route to go?

alcohol runs cooler than propane therefore it is less prone to detonation. it also burns much faster so the amount of fuel burned doubles in volume.

Methanol has an octane rating of approximately 110. Propane I think is around 140. I could be wrong on the propane. If you are running a sc'er then I would suggest the methanol because of its' cooling effect.
