What size is a stock \'97 exhaust pipe?

I am planning on modifying my exhaust system next week on my B/W '97, and I am needing to know the stock size pipes that are used. I am planning on a cat delete, and need to know the size of the inlet/outlet from the factory.

My 97" GTS took a 22 inch long piece of 2 1/2 inch pipe, easy install.

Get 24 inches of 2 1/2 inch outside diameter pipe. Leave one end and expand the other to 2 1/2 inside diameter. It is best if you weld the front and the rear will just slide in.

Cal..that is a pic of my better half...I was afraid if I used a pic of me as an avatar, not only would no one answer me, but I might scare off some people...
By the way guys..thanks for the info..2.5" pipe diameter.
