They were supposed to have a snakeskin interior, stripes and be graphite in color? Never heard anything about them. I know they were ugly and crazy expensive so did they scrap the idea? Any sold?

I saw one at Woodhouse back in Feb. I thought that they were only making 10?? Not sure about that. The stripes were ok but the interior was UGLY!!! The snakeskin pattern made the interior look cheap...

They had one at VOI9 on display, like mentioned above, stripes looked cool, interior, not so much. I also thought I heard they were only making 10.

Supposedly only 6-8 were made , including the prototype. The 20 never were made as the program came out late and many of the cars were already sent to Dealers and no longer available at the Plant. We had the first two and one will be very unique and the owner will likely be posting about it in the near future.

Thank you Bill. I figured you would know about them since you are the VIPER guys. Any hints about this "special" one?

As for the cars, do you have any actual pictures?

There is a guy here in Scottsdale that owns one. I got to see it in the service drive at the Dodge dealer. I like the stripes, but not too sure what to make of the interior.
Maybe if I had seen Prince hop out of it, then it would all make sense:D

I thought they were pretty cool...I liked the snake skin on the shfter/e-brake boots and the seats...not the sun visors or the roll hoops.....really liked the stripes.

I love the exterior of the car without seeing the stripes up close. I could deal with the interior if it was only the seats. The headbars, console, sunvisors, etc are too much.

I think I will let the guy with the really special one have his own day, and showcase it himself. Shouldn't be too far into the future.

The two we had were the first two made ( after the prototype ) , but I ordered them with polished wheels, so they never actually had the blacked out versions installed. Classy look and I am sure you will see some pictures soon.

No mater what you think about the snakeskin effect on the interior I can tell you it was VERY expensive to have the leather patterened that way. I was looking for some extra and hooked up with the people that supplied the factory, they wanted almost $500 per YARD!

The look and feel is very different in person so although you may say you would not like it unless you experience it you will never know for sure. I personally think it is agreat expression vehicle when it comes to the Viper if not for the masses.

JonB and Doris from PartsRack took a prefix tour whilst the first 2 were being made. (for brothers?) I am sending some photos to Chad for posting of the hand-crafted leather work and airbrushing of the stripes.

Doris was impressed and actually found some material locally and hand-sewed a nearly identical set of VISOR SLIP COVERS for her 2001 Yellow RT/10. (She could make probably more if any interest. I suspect they would be about $100/pr)

I believe the final count was 9............

THANKS CHAD ! These are the actual 'hand-crafted' artisans at Prefix, hard at work the old-fashioned way on SnakeSkin Edition Vipers....note the hand-chaulked alignment of FANGS logo with snake scales below....
