I let my friend drive it. He gassed it from a stop sign but didn't realize he was in 3rd. He said, "Wow! that's fast". I said, "You should see how it does in 1st".

I don't own one either, but thanks to Dave (CO_GTS) and Bill (NOMERCY) they made my first ride(s) very memorable. The only thing I don't remember were my reactions, though I'm sure I said "Holy Sh*t" a few times. What I do remember is holding on for dear life. And now I know that I just have to get me a Viper!

I was trying to scare my gf by driving fast and punching it etc. which usually scares most of my friends but instead she had a big grin like this --> and said do it again I coudln't stop laughing

1. My Mom: It's better than a ride at Six Flags!

2. When I took my wife's friend for a ride and punched it in 2nd gear in my RT/10, the rear view mirror came off and was just dangling from the wires. She thought it was pretty funny to have it hanging there. When we got back she made a comment to everyone about me being "hung".

3. BEST FOR LAST:
This is not my story, but a fellow club member and friend. He was at a bar, and all night a girl kept going around asking everyone who's GTS was on the parking lot. She had even asked him and he said he didn't know. Well the night went on and she went outside to wait as the bar closed to see who's car it was. As he was heading to the car she came running up begging for a ride. He reluctantly agreed. When they got in and the door closed she said. "I'm 18 years old and a ******. I don't give he@d, but you can lick my pu$$y." He said, "Hey, I thought we were just going for a ride..."

I wish I had a viper to write about, but when I had the supercharger in my car, I intentionally fish-tailed around a corner and put the car sideways for a little bit while I had a date in my car. It scared her so much that she screamed at the top of her lungs and curled up into a ball. When we got out of the car, she realized she ripped her pants right below her @$$. It was hilarious.

My Mom saw the car in my garage and went up to look at it.

She didn't even get in, she just shook her head and said, "Why in the hell did you buy that thing?! What was wrong with the Corvette?"

On my wife's first ride in the car, "Why did you get this, I think it's making me sick!"

From one of my cousins, "man this is cool, does this have a V-8 or something."

It wasn't funny at the time, but will seem funnier over the years. (I had a guilty snicker when I read it)

Reminds me of the wrong-way scene in "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles".

I romped on it from 0 to about 80. Then asked my passenger, isnt that a good feeling? She thought about it for a while and said "I dont know, I have never felt anything like that before".

Not so much what people have said but what they didn't say. I like flooring it when someone's in mid-sentence. They just stop speaking until things calm down!

I've gotten the same reaction from several friends and my wife. The typical comment after the ride was over was "I knew the car was fast but holy $***"

My 2 1/2 year old son took a ride with me and he had a big smile when it was over. He said "cool car daddy".
