Where can I get this shift extension?

Hello everyone

I have the MGW shift knob that I like very much, but I like to have it a little bit higher

Where can I get this shift extension, is it stock in Gen 2 models or is it aftermarket parts.

That is just the stock Gen 2 shifter.

There are two sticks in the eBay listing. The short one is like yours. The longer one is intermediate. Next stop is a stock shifter like Bad02ViperGTS has for you. Most of us like something shorter than stock, but the real short one is a problem for some.

MGW offers something that is between the one you have and the stock.

Here is my question... the stock piece looks quite a bit different than those extensions.

Was the stock one designed to stop heat from traveling up the shifter? I know mine gets pretty warm sometimes.

A friend of mine owns a machine shop and he is in the process of making me a Gen2 replacement that is 1.25" shorter (2" was too much for me). Lighter than stock, same or better strength, and insulated to slow/stop heat transfer.

If anybody wants one, let me know and I will see what it would take for him to make a couple more...

The later shifter comes with the ball attached. I have some of these but you will not be able to put your MGW knob on it.

These guys will make you one whatever length you want. I had them make me one for my MGW knob too.... (actually he made me three different lengths, and I put each on 'till I found one I liked).

You can unscrew the knob until it gets a little higher, than just tighten the bolt up to the knob again.
