Guys,

I want to add some brakes to my viper trailer. I just get nervous the way my truck 'feels' when I go down mountain roads pulling a viper on the trailer and the trailer doesn't have brakes. On straights I am OK, but in corners I am down right frightful.

Anyway, I am looking for a place in or close to San Diego, Ca. that can add some electric brakes to trailer, before I head off down the grape vine to Button Willow next Friday.

I can't imagine how one would retrofit brakes to a trailer that was not equipped already..without replacing the axles.

And..at least in PA, a trailer big enough to carry a car MUST have brakes.

My advice...get a new trailer.

any good trailer place can do the job, I have a gold rush aluminum 24 footer that had the gold rush 4 lug wheels, when I bought it (used), My trailer guy suggested I switch brake & hubs to the more commen 5 lug, the hole job was under a grand
