Where is everyone?

It's been real quiet around here! I'd like to welcome Reggie and John as our new Pres and right hand man! Any new happenings in the works for the Carolinas region? I know there was a possible "dyno day" scheduled at Underground Racing. Is that put on the back burner? Once again, congrats on your new posts and lets see if we can get the Carolina chapter reved up!

We are intending to do just that, get the club revved up! We are working on some ideas already, and will be in touch soon! What things are you interested in doing?

I'd like to see some gatherings spread out across NC & SC to accomodate more members. I can imagine it's tough to organize events these days, but this may get some people to pull their Vipers out of mothballs. Hopefully it would also encourage some new VCA memberships. I'm also surprised this local forum hasn't been used more. When it was first created. I was expecting to see more chatter from NC & SC. Oh well, ya gotta start somewhere! Once again, welcome guys and keep us posted.

Interestingly, Reggie put a dot on a Carolinas map for each member, and it showed where most people were at - mostly the Triangle and the Triad, with some in Charlotte and western NC, and various in SC but with some large regional gaps in SC. We certainly want events near people, but some areas don't have anyone or only 1 actually.

As for this forum, I suggested to Reggie that this be the forum for the club, and to be linked with the Carolinas club website he is putting together. So I anticipate once he wraps that up, this forum will see more use.

BTW, do you get together with others in your area?

There are a few guys around the Charlotte/Concord area, but not sure if any or all are members. This group isn't as tight as the Triad crowd. That's why I believe that gatherings which are spread out a little may entice these guys to attend. I understand if you can't justify it because of low Viper population. How about throwing Charlotte Motor Speedway into the hat when the National office decides to have the next VOI. You can't find a place with a better selection of hotels, food and lodging. Just brainstorming. Keep us informed of any happenings. Definitely will try to attend.

Glad to see that Reggie is "dotting the carolina map " to see where the members are. Very few of us in the western part of the state. Last time I checked I was the only Viper registered in my county. How about throwing in the *** a fall run to the mountains? Harrahs casino is on the way in Cherokee. Short run from there to Tail Of The Dragon,at Deals Gap,318 curves in 11 miles. short drive across the smokies to Pigeon Forge ,Tenn.Huge car shows spring and fall. Ya"ll come, you hear???
