Windsheid Wiper Problem

When ever I turn on my viper the windsheid wipers come on and wouln't turn off. I checked the switch and it is on "off". When I turn the car off they stop where ever they are. How do I stop this, it is a pain in the butt.

When I turn the car off they stay where they are. they don't go down. Then when I turn it on, they go. They don't stop until I turn the car off, and then they stop where ever they are. I have the windshield wiper control off. What's up with this?

Sounds like the switch is bad... does the speed control work? if not, then the switch has "crashed"

My problem with the wipers is a little bit different.
When i turn them on the driver side goes up and down then the passenger side goes up and down twice. at high speed it's the weirdest thing i have ever seen. Last week they hit each other in the process and stopped working until i reversed their order (i took one and put it on top of the other).
Are they supposed to work like this??
