    New Hood PICTs, Finally!

Several people have asked to see my new hood, designed by Jerry Wolfe and manufactured at his Studio. It was supposed to take two months. That was a year and a half ago! I just picked it up yesterday. It still needs a "rub-out" or two, but you'll get the idea. When I received my Doug Levin...

DLM Update, After A Year And A Half (and many miles)...

Just an update of a DLM every-day driver Monster Viper: The car still runs better than new after thousands of miles and well over a year of CA driving!! I was just out at Infineon (Sears Point to us Locals) on Sunday in the Viper/Prowler corral. It reminded me that I've been too busy to...

Navy Thinks About Updating Their Viper...

As with many Viper owners, the Navy recently began exploring the idea of increasing the horsepower of their Viper (model# F-16N). They were interested in why my Viper was so much quicker, so we shared power-plant secrets back and forth. In the end, I gave them Doug Levin's phone number. Sorry...

Infineon Grand Prix This Sunday. Who's Going...

Infineon Grand Prix This Sunday. Who\'s Going... I don't mean to take away from the on-going Venom 650 POST, but... I was wondering who will be attending the Sonoma Grand Prix this Sunday in the Viper/Prowler Corral at Sears Point (Infineon). I'm in the Prowler group, as their deadline for...

    DLM + Wolfe Designs equals...

I have received tons of e-mails concerning the look of my Doug Levin Motorsports engine after Wolfe Designs polished things up under the hood. Jerry (Wolfe) is far from done, but here's what it looks like so far: The engine is modeled to look like a 1930's flathead v10, complete with...

What DLM 1000HP GEN-1 Looks like (Pics)...

I was going to wait until all of the engine dress-up was done before showing Doug's newest creation, but I've been getting too many e-mails! Since DLM's original Dyno of 817 rwhp in 96 deg Florida, I had it re-dyno'd here in 59 deg NorCal with better gas at 846.2 rwhp (that's about 1019hp at...

DLM Vipereus Dyno Sheet (816.2 RWHP) Pict...

Doug Levin just e-mailed me the Dyno sheet for his GEN-1 816.2 RWHP run on my Viper (see picture). Doug is very proud of this one! As he stated earlier, he could have pulled a lot more HP out of this one but decided to stay conservative for reliability reasons. He achieved this world record...

DLM Finishes Monster GEN-1 (816+ rwhp)!!!

You really have to hand it to Doug. He's part Engineer, part Magician, and part Mother Teresa!... :D Doug has taken my 1995 RT/10 "GEN-1" with 50,000 original miles on it, and has it cranking out an astonishing 816.5 rwhp (SAE corrected, of course)! Now keep in mind that this...

    Stock/Kevlar/Carbon-Carbon Clutch?...

Let's say for instance that DLM is pumping 1000+ HP out of your Viper (GEN-1). The "Track" is pretty much out of the question now, and there will be little if any Drag Strip action. However, there will be a lot of the usual "hang-on while I nail it" sort of action (until CA Law causes car to...

    91 Oct, CA, DLM Engine?...

Problem (if you want to call it that): I'm a few weeks away from receiving my Doug Levin Super Stage "God-knows-what" engine, and I live in California (like Treynor). Doug originally told me to mix 4 gals of 104+ oct with my usual tank of 91 oct CA gas... I don't want to drive to Sears Point...

How long does DLM take to Supercharge?

How long have people had their Vipers at Doug Levin Motorsports for Stage III installations, before receiving them back? Mine has been their approaching six months. I paid in advance for a faster turn around (64 days), and have yet to even receive a completion date. I have missed almost all...

Impact of nonfactory paint on value of GTS

We all love our Vipers, but they aren't quite the vintage Porsche are they? "Collectors" don't look at Vipers, only people who are into "Cool" and "Oh-My-God!"... I hated the milky Dodge black that mine was painted, even though the body was perfect. I also wasn't very happy about the aging...

    Chroma-Painted Intake (Picts)...

I had a lot of time to kill while my RT/10 sits at our favorite Floridian Tuner waiting for it's "Kompressor" and stuff to be installed, so I had Jerry Wolfe come up with a new Viper project to work on. Seeings how Doug (DLM) is stuffing my engine compartment with miles of shiny tubing, I...

    Vezano seats

Thanks! The credit has to go to Tony (Venzano). He came up with the design and was a good enough salesperson to talk me into it! I've actually never seen the interior of an F50, but I'm flattered that's what he apparently based it on. When I told Tony I was having Stripes painted on, he said...

    Bucket-O-Supercharger (GEN-1)...

Here's the short of it... I have a 1995 RT/10. A guy on the East Coast with a 1995 RT/10 was selling his Supercharger system, and contacted me via e-mail. I said "Sure, why not..." and bought it from him sight unseen for $5,700. It had a few missing nuts/bolts and a bent main supply tube...

    Haltech FMU With Viper Supercharging?

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has used, or knows much about, a Haltech Fuel Management Unit (ECU, "F9" series) in conjunction with a Vortech Supercharger on their Viper? If not "Haltech", is there such a thing as a recommended Fuel/Ignition Management device for Viper Supercharging? This...

What is the Best cd changer for 1994 Viper

I've used Pioneer components in my 1995 Viper. You can get some info on it by going to "http://www.viperproject.com", "Sound System" section. It works great for me, looks good at Car Shows, and sounds great. Hope this helps.
