Well, mine doesn't have a tint at the top (99), so unless other years have this feature, I would say it's not original.

Check the etched area on the windshield. The year of manufacture will be etched there.

Strength isn't really a concern. The only risk is that sometimes aftermarket glass can have a "wave" in it, causing some distortion. Not all of it does, and even the occasional factory piece has it too. It's more of an annoyance than anything else.

Can you still get original glass from Chrysler?

here in italy...mmm i don't think... Viper is almost unknow here..

This is in Germany..
I find Gts windowshield too but i don't know if fit in rt-10..

I have not viper again but i find to buy a good 1994's rt-10 with little stone damage on the windowshield..

Shipping a windshield size crate from the US to Italy would be cost prohibitive
. Wouldn't you have to ship it either way? Do they make them in Italy?

Intracontinental shipping will always be cheaper than sending one across the pond. A windshield size box from here to Italy starts at around $500.

So...... I guess you are saying he needs to buy an aftermarket windshield then?

Not necessarily, people wreck vipers in Europe too, and there is
always the one-in-a-trillion shot of there being a NOS sitting on
some dealer/body shop shelf somewhere. But if price is a concern,
then yeah I think he's stuck with aftermarket.

I have an aftermarket windshield in mine the problem is it has some serious distortions at the curves. I would if you can look through the windshield before you buy it and compare it to the original.
