The old geezer judges can't get their butts in and out of one and call it "clown car' etc...I've heard them. The younger ones love it but they get out numbered. Funny how my GTS has people all around most of the day.

The bottom line here is we are making rash generalizations based on visions through a keyhole. I'm sure there's plenty of info the OP is leaving out.

By far the most exciting car show I was ever in was the AutoRama...... with that said.... I would never do it again

3 years ago I took my 05 COPPERHEAD (all original) to the OHIO/Cleveland PISTON POWER SHOW
I was the ONLY VIPER there and about 50 VETTEs
I took BEST in my class and BEST ENGINE with a $125 check
Haven't been back since

Judging is rigged. yes I do love trophies to go in my garage, but I do love going to car shows. Take this....this past summer I went to a smaller car show, there were 3 trophies for every decade, and the trophies went to a mustang and 2 camaros (one of the ugliest generations of both) This proved to me that judging is rigged by friends and acquaintances. Then I go to a large car show where some trophies were decided by attendees, and I win people's choise. That trophy with 1 mustang and 2 camaros made me jaded though.

You see! I did not even know there was a Viper in that picture, till someone mentioned it.:D Darth, you are right most shows are rigged for sure, they take care of there own. Every year I enter one of my cars in the Nam Knights car show, and I always take home a 7 foot trophy, of course I feel like my car deserved it, but truth be told its not what you know its who you know. I am sure there are fair shows, but even they can be bias.

Kudos to her! Wow. Dave6666 can ***** about that look all he wants, but it makes me wonder if he is ***. Getting too muscular on a female (when they start to look like a man) is never a fun thing, but Sybil is far from that. Just the perfect amount of amazing muscle with no masculine shape in there.

I went to a car show the other day, trying to educate people by putting a INFOMATION sheet on my window telling people about the car, years for each generation, specifications, hand built, numbers built etc. People did not know they are still being built! or Never have seen one before. Mine being a First Generation did not know about , door handles, windows, traction control etc,. Again I was insulted when signing in the show the Judge asked me what year, I told him 95, he wrote down Vette !!!!! I corrected it immediately, I mentioned how Observant he was and did not expect anything anyway, just wanted to show the car. It was tactfully done, I believe. Just goes to show you , this is a difficult process to educate people , things won't probably change. Oh Well, I have the satisfaction of driving and enjoying a unique Automobile. On the Bright side I did run into a 14 yr old boy at a different classic cruise-in who knew all about the Viper and what a first generation was all about. Hope is out there.

I just went to the Little Brothers/Sisters charity car show here in Sarasota with my '05 Comm. Ed. and took best of class trophy. Most everyone knew about Vipers and were very talkative about Vipers. We had 5 Vipers in the show among 100+ cars. Maybe the Sarasota folks are more knowledgeable than others.
My '10 Coupe took best of show last year at the Sarasota Exotic Car Show. We had about 8 Vipers among 100 cars which included many Ferraris, Lambo's and other Exotics. I'd say my results indicate that Vipers are appreciated and respected here in Sarasota--Dave

I just recently joined this site, however I have meet some of the VCA members at the Lakeland show in 2015.

I was the other Viper at this show in question. I had told Brad about this show due to my prior experience with this car show. I had won Best in Class just the month before. So when I pulled into the location the lady that was registering the cars asked me if this was an Import or domestic? I was completely shocked and when I told her more about the car she said they normally never have Vipers at their shows. So when she judge the both cars and it was a completely biased judging and both of us where in shocked because it was a very pro Corvette show...

I did attend the same car show at a different location which is better because their are so much more things to do. So if I do not win no big deal because we can go to different shops and have ton of places to eat. I saw the lady again luckily she was not assigned to our class. I had a different judge and once again the car won Best of Class. So this car show depends on who is judging it... However on a side not when the lady walked over to my car thinking she is going to judge it I said to my buddy in his Corvette great I just lost this show and I said it a little too loud she heard it and just gave me the meanest look ever... My buddy took his car to a different location same car show promotion company the week before and did not win anything however this past show he Won Overall Best of show... He did nothing different.... We have no idea how they judge the car because it is a crab shoot..

I can also say that not everyone knows what a Viper is... I had about 30 people ask me if the car was a Kit car and the people who knew what a Viper was they did have some great questions... I enjoyed educating people and they got chances to sit inside the car... Some wanted the Viper more afterwords and others did not for personal reasons. So winning was only secondary had a blast just sharing the car with everyone...
