    Problem: Sputters at 1500 RPM

If it's not the plugs or wires, it's probably the oxygen sensors. You can tell when these are going bad because the car will miss only under acceleration.

    Oil change?

Local oil change place charges me $15 - I bring my own oil and filter. Oil from Walmart, and filter from Autozone - couldn't be any easier!

Looking for a Dodge dealer near Clarkston, MI area with Viper tech

The only place you want to go for Viper service in Michigan is Dick Scott Dodge in Plymouth: http://www.dickscottdodge.com/Department-Service.aspx This is where most Viper owners take their Vipers for service in lower Mich. I drive all the way from Saginaw to go there. It only takes one bad...

Time for Oil and Filter... advice please

Re: Time for Oil and Filter Buy the 5 quart jugs of oil at WalMart, and the Mobil 1 filter can be purchased at AutoZone.

how cold out is it before you garage?

Put mine away yesterday - winter is finally here in Michigan. They use way too much salt on the roads here to even consider driving a Viper in the winter. Even if the roads are clear of ice and snow, they are covered with salt. My red RT/10 would be white after a spin around the block, and...

Sad day. Had to put my baby away.

This has probably been one of the worst summers in Michigan in years. Early summer was nice, but the second half of August and all of Sept & Oct have been terrible. Put less than 500 miles on the Viper this year.

For those that have low mileage Vipers, how do you do it?

This is the 3rd year I've owned my Viper - 1st year put on 3,000 miles, 2nd year 2,500 miles, and only 500 miles this year. I'm in Michigan - so the weather plays a big factor - and the second half of our summer sucked bad! Plus I live in Saginaw (which is worse than Detroit) - so you have to...

    Wanted: 1/12 Red Gen 1 RT/10

I'm looking for a 1/12 scale red Gen 1 RT/10 - doesn't really matter the maker as long as it's in excellent condition. Completing my new office in Viper decor - and having an open house Sept 28 - so shipping time is an issue - but I'm willing to pay for expedited shipping. If anyone has one...

What do you guys all do for a living??

Re: What do you guys all do for a living?? I'm a CPA and have my own firm...and I can show you how to write off your Viper for business :)

    License plate idea.

A couple of weeks ago I seen this on a little Saturn coupe: VPR KLR I wish I had a camera with me. Hopefully this plate was transferred from something else!

Spark plug wires on a 94

That's the key - do only one wire at a time - then you can feel where they go on the coil - because you won't be able to see where they go.

What's the weirdest comment you've heard?

Re: What\'s the weirdest comment you\'ve heard? You obviously don't live in the rural Midwest then. I've pulled a lot more women in my pickup than with my Viper. Most women around here are concerned more about eating and landscaper type guys who drive beat up trucks!

    Who insures your Viper?

Good luck with Progressive - I had one claim with them after several years (not my fault) and my car, boat, and house insurance all doubled. But I just got a letter in the mail last week about a class action lawsuit against Progressive for insurance fraud/overcharging clients - they deserve it...

Need advice on 95 w/ellenger exhaust

I think you mean Belanger headers/exhaust - which is loud. I don't think any one year is worse than another, it's all in how the car was maintained. These cars require more regular maintenance than most other newer cars. Make sure all the fluids have been changed regularly. Other things that...
