I too did not like the thin stripes. I will be having mine painted locally and in the wide stripe. I also did not care for the fact that the rear lower panel is blacked out on factory striped cars. It looks good on the dark cars but, on the SSG it looks unfinished. I ordered mine with no stripe...
165 on a country road in the UP of Michigan. Most of our normal cruises are 130, 140 but, don't tell anyone.:D

I think the reason it seems Viper sales are slow is because a majority of the orders are customer orders and are presold. You just don't hear about them. The sales are done when the car arrives and the customer takes it home or has it delivered. Anyone who wanted one could just contact a dealer...
My simple statement is " If they kill the Viper, I will NEVER buy another Chrysler product again" .
